This video quite conveniently ignores the hypergamous nature of women. Forget men earning less, most women wouldn't settle for a guy earning less than them. This shows most women view men as atms and lifestyle providers. Useless biased video

Mallika, thank you for sharing this. I have followed your beautiful mum through her and your reels, and I was shaken by your parents' passing. I've been accompanying you in your grief journey, sending healing vibes in solidarity since 2021. This podcast gave me deeper insight into your real journey, and your words about grief-like "when you love something, there is no getting over it", "your core has been altered forever", "if you didn't know them, you don't know me," and "Dard hona chahiye, love tax paid," - resonated deeply with me. Thank you for sharing. And Ira, thank you for such a calm and thoughtful podcast. Many hosts today don’t allow their guests to speak freely, but you were gentle and asked relevant questions that shaped this podcast beautifully.

I feel annoyed every evening and feel I have that void. Everything is perfect in my life but still I suppress my mood and irritation ok every small thing. My husband find it very strange feeling irritated/annoyed without any specific reason. On every irritating sound like chewing, high tone of someone, insta reels high volume in someone phone. Someone is playing with tiktok 🖊️ pens. I feel trouble in sleeping quickly. I don't know why I am facing this void.

Fight for love and respect... From a married man? That doesn't make any sense. He explicitly told her he only saw her as an entertainment. She was never going to be loved or respected by him. A man who cheats, will never respect either of the women in his life.

She was effectively cat fishing the coach. Her issues were valid, but it's also true that what she did wasn't right. Imagine an older man cat fishing a young woman. It would be equally as wrong. Her being attracted to a young hunky guy also kind of took away from the moral of the story that once someone isn't young, they aren't sexually attractive anymore and are desexualized.

There are two reasons I would disapprove of my parents having kids that old, one would be health complications and two would obviously be the fact that they could pass away any moment, leaving a young child behind to fend for themselves. Is that what they really want? Can siblings fulfill the roles of two parents in their place? It's entirely selfish to have kids that old. I don't condone the ridiculous judgement that came with old couples being intimate with each other, which is ridiculous. But I still think it's wrong of old people to have kids.

The moment Priya moves away her hand when Bharti tells her that she is a Dalit. That was a heart wrenching moment. Priya didn't even realize that she was in love with Bharti, but drew the line at her being a Dalit. Bharti's revenge was very poetic by the end though.

Recently my father's friend's son got engaged, he is an IITian and so is his future wife, the girl told the groom's family that her family will not give any dowry or gifts. The groom being a rational person agreed to it, in fact, he is against dowry, his parents were unhappy that the previous rishtas they had for him were offering a huge amount of dowry. However, he still said no to those girls, what is so special about this girl, btw this marriage is also arranged. He told them that the girl's parents who offered a heavy amount for him their daughter was not highly educated and earned less than him, there would be compatibility issues in future with such a girl cuz she would feel lesser and dumb in front of an IITian and after some time the husbands also start making fun of their less educated wives , but this girl whom he is engaged to, is financially and emotionally independent, she is also an IITian and they will be able to understand each other better. Here I learned if you are independent in all senses and find the right match you can fight this evil of society together.

The question is, do we have men who are doing suggestive poses, the camera focusing on his buttocks, abs or his chest while there are tons of women bending over to look at his body? In the reversal versions as well, they aren't as objectifying the male body as they are the female body. If not, why is it only women who get these "item" songs? It's to satisfy mostly a male audience, to reel in men who will go to the theatres ONLY to view that item songs. It is objectifying women. I don't think it's as morally grey.

It isn't the people who did the job, it is people who don't qualify, those who don't make it, who envy and want to run others down. Beautiful people are beautiful, we don't need them to apologize for it. Being attractive is an advantage for a man or a woman in nearly every society. Are we going to blame tall dudes for being tall?

What? Why wouldn't an artist want to use as many colours as possible? Or even if they don't use it, at least know that it is available for use should they ever need it? Besides, it's a form of protest and was probably created to draw attention to the problem by directly mentioning the person.

Development of any colour requires effort and intellect...have you heard of how Lapis lazuli used to be made in the past? The point is, by patenting the colour, he is preventing other artists from enjoying the benefits of something that can enrich art as a whole... He is being selfish for no reason.

Just watched my first episode from this series on a much needed conversation space. Imran was far more forthcoming and had more quality responses in this discussion, which is ironic considering Dr. Vikram was the mental health professional on this show. I especially liked what Imran said about the culture of misusing and misinterpreting terms such as "gas lighting", etc and misleading and confusing people on mental health conversations. Damn good effort Ira. **Did you know there was a time when people suffering from mental health were locked in prison with criminals?**

And that's where most women are wrong. Why do you want to wear short cloths in the first place ? Fashion, comfort , cloths as a way of expressing yourself ? All of these are valid points here but that doesn't mean you wear half naked cloths in public. There are a thousand other ways to show your style and be comfortable by wearing appropriate cloths. Guys like me feel uncomfortable when girls roam around in half naked on streets. How would you girls feel if we guys wear an underwear, baniyan and roam around in the streets in name of fashion and comfort? You girls would feel uncomfortable right ? There are some moral codes and values that have to be upheld when you are in a public space respecting and thinking about everyone around you or it wouldn't take long before india turns into a more liberalised version of America. That goes without explaining how "SOME" American women roam around on the streets without wearing "almost anything" at all and that is morally wrong. Doesn't matter if it's a man or a women, everyone should dress appropriately when they are in public spaces respecting everyone around them.

Very nicely articulated conversation. Takes a lot to discuss one’s vulnerabilities. Had a thought though, both the ladies come from a place of comfortable economic backgrounds where they’re taken care of if on days they can’t get up and operate as required. They can take a break, if needed, and spring back when they feel better. In a regular world, where we fend for our needs to meet the basics , this struggle gets into a different dimension. Even if you feel like you can’t move a muscle, one has to get up and put in a full days of productive work to sustain, like a hamster on the wheel. So the window to take care of one’s own self gets tighter and an even tougher path to navigate. Just a thought. Not dissing anyone’s journey, just sharing another perspective.
